Uniform
It's important that your child is comfortable and safe in their ballet class. As we follow the RAD syllabus, when it comes to exams, RAD uniform will be mandatory.
For now, your child is welcome to attend their first few classes in active wear - leggings and t-shirts. It is important that full use of the body is permitted so no jeans or footwear will be permitted, aside from ballet shoes.
After your child's two week trial is finished, payment is required up front for half term block bookings. One months written notice must be given if your child wishes to stop. Once you have committed to this your child will be expected to attend in the following uniform.
Girls: Pink leotard and skirt, pink or white tights, white or flesh coloured ballet shoes
Boys: White t-shirt, black cycling or ballet shorts, or leggings, white ballet shoes
Girls and boys uniform can be purchased via the dance school directly, please email with your required items and sizes. We purchase from a dance website which gives us a teacher's discount. This uniform will be mandatory for any exams taken (for children ages 5+).
In our "Tiny Dancers" class, children are welcome to attend in dress up tutus if they wish, or anything they are comfortable in.
Hair must be tied neatly back from the face and ideally in a ballet bun. We are happy to give advice on how best to achieve this.
